Strategy Statement:
The slogan for this project is “Making tomorrow brighter”. The symbol will stand out as form of light indicated by the slogan. The overall message of this theme is to suggest that without energy, which companies like DTE provide, the world would be left in the dark. Everyday life values the use of electricity, without it even minimal tasks would become strenuous. Energy makes life easier, more efficient, fast-paced, and “brighter”. The way in which the message connects to its audience is that it’s easy to relate too. People use a source light all the time from turning on a lamp, a night light, or even a flashlight which uses energy to work. The emotional factor of my theme is to portray a sense of content happiness, and hopefully, this is what the audience feels as well as a sense of opportunity to every tomorrow. I believe that this slogan will also motivate employees of DTE to see every tomorrow as a fresh start in which they value the resources supplied to people of today.

Imagery Visuals:
Images that are helping set forth the mood and communication of my slogan share a common element. That is each poster bestows a form of light. I have taken images such as landscapes, sunrises, light bulbs, and flowers, to use as examples in my illustrative work. By doing so, one poster introduces a sunrise surfacing from behind the mountains while the other presents a light-bulb containing sunflower. Sunflowers represent sun and light in the flower language. Each poster is simplistic, in that some of these objects are things we have commonly seen day to day. But they can make people feel content, with a sense of happy nostalgia as these objects are easy to relate too. The illustrations and the title work quite well together since they each signify something new and brighter that will begin again.
